The Long Haul
Having nothing better to do whilst waiting for a washing machine to clean our stuff, we headed across the main road for a little walk along the side of the railway line. Lucky or what? I had been meaning to see how long the freight trains are around here and along came a long one. Just couldn't believe that two diesel trains at the front could pull such a load. 

We counted the freight cars, many of which were loaded with two or three shipping containers, and there were no less than 157 of them each one about 40 feet long. That makes the train (with diesels) about 6,400ft in length or 1.21 miles - that's some train!!
