Back on the Road Again (15th May)
A very laid back time in Jasper preceded a long drive down to Hope for an overnight stop. A mere matter of 400 miles and according to Google Maps some 6 hours 45 minutes (though of course it takes longer if you need comfort, lunch and camera stops!).

Not much to say about the route other than the majority of it is fairly spectacular from a scenery perspective. Certainly, the drive down the Yellowhead Road to Kamloops is lovely.

Oh, and we saw these Turkey Vultures. Not certain whether it's because they look like Turkeys or because they eat Turkeys?

Anyway, I said to Jan 'wha d yah wan a do?' and she said 'I dunno, wha d yah wan a do?' so I said 'I dunno, wha d you wan a do?' and she said 'don't start that again!'....

To be honest, we were not impressed with Kamloops (the main town between Jasper and Hope), nor really the road south from there to Hope. And I was VERY dissapointed that when we did get to Hope, we could not visit the Othello Tunnels (my main reason for booking an overnight there!) as they were closed for maintenance.
