The Adventure Begins
After a hectic few weeks concentrating on building works at Meister Towers, and following an appropriate send-off from a few of our trusted tradesman friends, we packed-up the car and headed for Heathrow with some trepidation. We need'nt have been so bothered, as Mrs Meister's navigating skills ensured a timely arival at the Airport. Bags dropped and we were through security, albeit a full body scan was considered a requirement for Jan to exit the UK - not sure what thay were looking for but perhaps we had better 'skip-along'!

Job Sorted!
On a helpful note, anyone looking for employment at Heathrow need'nt be too woried about qualitfications and skill set as it's clear that they accept 'all sorts'!

Anyway, back to the dynamic duo.

Only a slight delay boarding and we were soon seated comfortably in cattle class (no up-grades available unfortunately). A long and uneventful trip over the pond and an opportunity to catch-up on a few movies. Jan chose 'Creed' whilst I went for 'The Revenant' and 'The Hateful Eight' - I guess you can tell a lot about a person from their movie choice?

Arived in Vancouver  about 7.15pm and with Mrs M's ankle playing up we decided on a taxi to the Hotel which is just to the East of 'Downtown'. I had forgotten that the deal we booked was for a room with 'easy access' (that's a dissabled room for those less familliar with more political terminology) and as it was located next to the lift shaft we decided to change to a more standard room in a quieter location. We stayed awake most of the time on the plane so just 'crashed'. But with 'Blog Creation' on my mind, I just had to get cracking on this inaugral post so plenty of filter coffee inside me and 'We're Off'!
